Hello!

So the big questions we posed to ourselves:

  • What do we bring in a trip that will cross two continents, catching cold and warm climates?
  • Can we fit it all in a carry on backpack that will allow us freedom of movements?

Again, this is a personal choice. Some people may choose to bring a little more stuff, some can even carry a little bit less. This was our choice of personal belongings to take initially in the trip. Of course we know that along the way we will probably adjust our thinking and change some things – we can always buy what we need and toss away what we don’t use.

We chose to take a 30 Litre backpack – a Forclaz Quechua 30L Air Backpack – for the price and the weight (only 920 g). We already travelled with 50L Backpacks in the usual 3 week holidays but even 50 liters seemed to heavy and too much volume. It this trip we decided to travel light, with only the indispensable.
